SEASONAL MULTI-ACTIVITY INSTRUCTORS 2021
We need seasonal multi activity instructors to join our professional and friendly team to help deliver activity sessions to schools, youth groups and private groups on the sensational Jurassic coastline in Dorset.
Role
We are looking for confident, friendly and experienced instructors to deliver safe and fun outdoor activities in Dorset. Ideally, you will have experience working with youth groups, schools and adults in the outdoors.
We offer training and opportunities to gain valuable experience, both for your personal development and hands on sessions to expand your NGB log books. While working with us we can offer tented accommodation as well as coaching/ logbook experience, and support through further qualifications. We will offer full in-house training on both Coasteering and Bushcraft to enable you to assist on these sessions.
You will need to hold an up to date first aid certificate, recent (within 3 years) DBS certificate and meet the following criteria:
Qualifications
You need to hold a minimum of assessment in one, and training in one other:
– RCI
– British Canoeing Sheltered Water Coach (formerly BCU Level 2 Coach)
– British Canoeing Paddlesports Leader
– ERCA High and Low Ropes Instructor
– RLSS Beach Lifeguard
– Summer Mountain Leader
– Sea Kayak Leader (formerly 4-star sea)
– Open Canoe Leader (formerly 4-star canoe)
Essential skills
– Interpersonal skills

– Flexible
Desirable skills
– Coasteering experience
– Bushcraft experience
– MIAS or mountain bike equivalent
– Clean driving license
– Trailer license
– D1 license & CPC
– DofE Supervisor/ Assessor
Rate of Pay:
A – Instructing only – £400 per week, £80 per day
B – Instructing AND Overnights – £700 per week, £140 per day
Pay is based on a 5 day week, if you do more than two overnights in any week, you will be on £700 for the week. If you do two or less, the rate will be £140 per day followed by £80 per day for the remaining days.
Hours:
A – Normal working hours for instructing only 08.30 – 17.00.
B – Normal working hours for instructing and overnights 08.30 Monday morning – 17.00 Friday afternoon inclusive.
Duration:
3rd May – 3rd September 2021 (with potential further work)
Seasonal Instructors will be employed on a freelance basis in that they will invoice the company, monthly, for the above rates. You will not be full employees of the company .
