Assistant Ranger (2 Year Fixed-Term Contract)

We’re currently looking for an Assistant Ranger to join our Access and Recreation Team on a 2-year, fixed-term contract.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in our office, so we often go out for lunchtime walks to enjoy the clean country air, recharge and enjoy Exmoor’s beauty; indeed, as an Assistant Ranger, you will often be out in the great outdoors.
The Role
As an Assistant Ranger, you will ensure that everyone feels welcome to the National Park and you will help people to both enjoy and understand the special qualities of Exmoor.
You will help ensure that any negative impacts people can have are kept to a minimum, for the benefit of all who work in, visit and love Exmoor. You will speak with visitors to explain codes of good practice and restrictions as necessary, as well as carrying out site checks, clearing litter etc.
