With 6 South Australian Tourism Awards and 7 Consecutive Trip Advisor “Certificate of Excellence”, we are currently seeking an Experienced Adventure Tour Guide to join our team! 

Operating for over 20 years, we are all about our customers having fun whilst immersing themselves in the pristine natural environment and learning about the history of the area, the native flora and abundant wildlife that Kangaroo Island has to offer. Our activities range from sandboard / toboggan hire to guided tours utilising quads, UTV buggies, fatbikes and kayaks.

Qualifications & experience

• Previous guiding experience is essential
• Current Senior First Aid Certification and Working with Children check is required.
• The following skills are not essential but would be highly regarded. Advanced bike maintenance (either push bike or ATV), office skills, general maintenance skills and sales skills.
• Demonstrate a drive to learn and adapt quickly
• Have the fitness and ability to ride our mountain bikes and paddle our sit on top kayaks
• Have a passion for the outdoors and giving an unforgettable customer experience
• Current drivers licence is essential

Tasks & responsibilities

• Safely lead guided quad (ATV) tours, buggy (UTV) tours, fat bike tours and kayak tours
• Ensure guests are able to operate all equipment safely, and at the same time provide a memorable experience.
• Be knowledgeable of the area and native wildlife, able to provide information to tourists, take bookings, hire equipment and sell packages.
• Provide safety information to guests when hiring out sandboards, toboggans and kayaks
• Responsible for organisation and cleanliness of all areas accessible to tourists
• Be committed to always improving your knowledge of our products, the area and wildlife
• Be organised and work efficiently under pressure during busy school holiday periods
