Established in 1966, Our main charitable objective still stands today: “To educate adults and children with all necessary facilities through outdoor pursuit activities to develop their physical capabilities, and their mental and spiritual awareness as individuals and as members of society, and so that their conditions of life may be improved.” We provide a wide variety of multi-activity and specialist courses to schools, youth and church groups and individuals within a welcoming, respectful, Christian environment.

We are small and friendly centre. Every team member plays a vital role in the running of the organisation. The future includes the major redevelopment of our Pensarn Harbour site, which is currently at the planning phase. This is exciting project will enable us to thrive for many years to come.

About the Job

Instructors are multi-disciplined and skilled individuals responsible for preparing and delivering safe, educational, and enjoyable sessions for our guests at the highest possible standards.

The role of instructor extends beyond the activities and encompasses many other aspects of outdoor centre life. This includes domestic tasks such as cleaning and kitchen duties, general maintenance, and equipment safety checks. All staff are willing and able to undertake all aspects of work as operational needs require.

We run a highly successful trainee instructor programme and instructors have the privilege of assisting in the training of trainee instructors as directed by the Senior Instructors / Centre Director. As well as supporting the Trainee Instructors, a key role of an instructor is to actively work with the Senior Staff Team through excellent role modelling and striving for high quality delivery in all aspects of their work. Instructors are encouraged to take an active role in the future development of the centre and the activities we run in consultation with Senior Instructors / Centre Director.

About You

We are looking for instructors who are motivated and passionate about serving our guests in all aspects of centre life. The successful candidate needs to have a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience and be committed to continued professional development.
