Auckland based for late March to late October

  • Ski Race Coaches- available evenings and weekends
  • Ski and Snowboard Freestyle Coaches- Available evenings & weekends
  • Ski & Snowboard Instructor- available school holidays, evenings and weekends

As an Instructor, our expectation is that you will strive to Share the experience 365 days a year. Our goal is to provide an outstanding visit to every guest every day.

The Job:

No two lessons will be the same, so you will need to be able to assess your guest’s needs, be creative and adapt your lesson to ensure you provide our guests with a memorable experience. You will strive to exceed guest expectations and become a member of our team.

The Job:

  • Providing a safe, fun and informative lessons
  • Using appropriate teaching develop skills, build confidence and facilitate learning
  • Teach both Kids & Adults from beginners through experienced
  • Teach all products on offer including school groups, group, private lessons, after school programs and race groups with a consistent application of modern ski and/or snowboard techniques.
  • Meeting & greeting our guests in a professional manner and providing information on the ski area services
  • Helping out in other departments when and as required. This can include snow shovelling, setting up lesson meeting areas, clearing tables in the café or helping out the Rentals department

  •  Adaptable to the environment and committed to developing return business and generating own work
  • Proactive and comfortable stepping in and helping each other and other departments when and as required
  • Committed to learning and self-development
  • Understand that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and business levels and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed

Skills and Qualifications

  • We prefer members of /or those wishing to become a national instructor organisation (NZSIA, PSIA, BASI etc) with current membership 
  • We will train the right person if unqualified
  • New Zealand and Australian applicants require a minimum of NZSIA Level One or equivalent to be considered for employment. (If you are uncertified you must be of an advanced ski/snowboard ability)
  • Previous teaching experience is an advantage
  • Children's specific certification or coaching kids is an advantage
  • Foreign languages such as French, Spanish, Japanese or Chinese also an advantage
  • Ability to teach another discipline also an advantage
  • Must be based in Auckland until end of October
  • Available on weekends and school holidays, availability after school is a bonus
  • Strong skiing or snowboarding skills
  • Non-qualified can apply if over 16 years
