Tour Guide- Airboat Driver

We are a dynamic group of tourism entities operating within the Darwin Region. We are looking for an Airboat & Jet boat Driver/ Tour Guide to join our 30 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is an attentive, punctual, energetic and friendly person with a positive outlook for customer service, nature and the environment.

Previous boat experience required, you do not necessarily have to have driven a airboat before but need extensive experience driving and launching boats from a trailer. We will train the right person.

Your responsibilities will be to operate an airboat or jet boat and educate customers in a fun and informative way about Darwin Harbour, including it’s history and wildlife such as birds, plants, fish and crocodiles.

You must be able to speak in public, as you stop along the tour and talk to the guests.

Minor mechanical background is a must.

Cleaning boats and trailer is required after tours.

We work in the tourism industry, so we are open every day of the year.

Our business is open from 8:30 AM to 6:PM, 7 days a week,

You will be required to work weekends and holidays.

Employer will run back ground check and drivers licence.

Selection Criteria:

• Coxswain Grade 1 or higher Essential
• Boat Launching (trailer) ability
• Tour guiding Experience
• HR license with H endorsement preferable
• First Aid
