Job Description

Key objectives

  • To lead the Seasonal Team and deliver the comprehensive and inclusive programme of watersports / Wakeboarding and ensure that the Park operates in compliance with all Licence and Health and Safety requirements.
  • Provide safe and healthy facilities to staff, cable users and visitors.
  • To ensure that at the forefront of operations is to provide a safe, professional and enjoyable experience.

Duties

  • To assist the Extreme Sports Manager in the planning and development of Wakeboarding and its business development programme in line with agreed budgets.
  • To manage, support and maintain quality standards of the Instructor Team.
  • To ensure all training and operational activities are delivered in compliance with Licence requirements and Health and Safety regulations.
  • To oversee the day to day running of the Centre activities and to maintain all Centre records, including the time-keeping of the Seasonal Team.
  • To manage, train and co-ordinate casual staff.
  • To manage the system for receiving and reviewing customer feedback and supporting investigations where appropriate.
  • To assist with marketing and promotion of courses and activities.
  • To be responsible for ensuring equipment and resources are procured and maintained to a safe standard.
  • To proactively manage the Instructor Team to ensure optimum employment of resources.
  • To maintain training records of Instructors, Casual staff and Clients and to maintain personal qualifications.
  • Keyholding responsibilities.
  • To promote equality and ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with our Equal Opportunities Policy.
  • To ensure cash handling procedures are being followed and carry out cashing up routine at the end of the day.
  • Administration and reception duties.
  • To adhere to centre cleaning processes.
  • To undertake any other duties as required.

Experience and skills

Essential

  • Power Boat Level 2
  • Strong IT skills
  • Cable tow operator’s licence
  • First Aid
  • Practical knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and relevant safety procedures

Qualifications

Desirable

  • Wakeboarding
  • UKCC Level 2 Wake Boarding and Water Ski

Full driving licence (with towing endorsement)
