Job Description

We are looking for an Office Administrator to join our team in our North Vancouver office. We are an 84 year old non-profit private yacht club of approximately 300 members governed by a Board of Directors. Located in beautiful North Vancouver on the waterfront we are an active club consisting of power and sailing vessels mainly 25 to 60 feet in length. Our members enjoy secure moorage, social activities, community service, and group boating activities.

Our operation consists of 2 entities, a not for profit society and a private holding company. The financials are interrelated and the statement combined. We operate on the basis of a prepared annual budget and then have monthly financials presented to the Board for operational purposes.

Reporting to the Treasure of the Board and the Facilities Manager you will undertake all aspects of office administration with accounting support. The position is a 3 day work work and we are open to your schedule but this is an on site position. You would become part of a small team of staff, 12 people in the summer and down to 5 people over the winter months. You will be joined in the office by our Accounting Manager and interacting with our members on a daily basis. We are undertaking very strict Covid 19 protocols for all the staff and membership safety.

This is a 3 day a week, permanent part time position that qualifies for benefits after the waiting period. The office is located in our private marina in North Vancouver on the water. Secure parking on site. The ability to be creative and independent in a role with a team of people that will appreciate your customer service and administrative strengths.

  • Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner
