Salary: £15,000 to £19,000 (dependant on experience) – Accommodation, training and work clothing provided

Permanent & Seasonal contracts available

We require experienced activities and woodland rangers to join our team, a five year old business located six miles inland from Southwold, Suffolk. - a collection of prestigious houses ranging from a one bed romantic cottage in the woods with no electricity, to a 14 bedroom fully serviced manor house, all set with a 5,000 acre estate.

What we are looking for:

The Activities and Woodland Ranger is responsible for providing exceptional country pursuit experiences for all guests maintaining a fun, entertaining and professional approach. You will join our forestry team in managing, conserving and improving our forests and parkland. You must be confident in your professional ability to deliver to directors of blue-chip corporates, providing for young children’s teddy bear picnics and everything in-between. From intimate family experiences to large scale multi day events, you will immerse yourself into our brand and whole team working ethos.

Knowledge and understanding of the flora and fauna, or a strong desire to continually learn is essential. The role is not the average outdoor instructor roll, it requires a blended area of expertise; that covers but not limited to outdoor leadership, adventure, wilderness activity and field studies. Wilderness therapy, wild cooking, forestry, tree planting and developing skills with early years provision may be amongst the diverse skills and requirements to develop over time.

The roll is a physical and demanding one that requires continual fitness training. After completing a successful 12-week probation, an average day may include setting up heavy axe targets, running a clay shoot and then delivering a group 5km wilderness walk. Everyday is different and enjoyable with many opportunities to grow and progress.

• You will require a clean DBS (essential)
