Our retreat style hotel is truly a unique venue. - Located in Sydney Harbour National Park on the Northern Beaches, with heritage listed accommodation, restaurants and bars and a range of activities for couples, families and groups to enjoy.

About the role.

Reporting to the Visitor Services Manager, your role as an Activity Officer will be to develop and provide support for a diverse range of activities. This will include the development and running of events, activities and games!

We encourage you to implement activities that you have particular skills and enthusiasm in and welcome new ideas and your creativity – in addition to supporting current activities and initiatives!  

This customer facing position requires you to have strong administration skills to manage bookings and enquiries, in addition to an excellent customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Activities Officer, include (but are not limited to);

  • Work in our busy Visitor Centre, acting as the main point of contact for guest information about the quarantine station and Hotel offerings, specifically offered services and activities.
  • Set up, pack down and facilitate indoor and outdoor programmed kids activities independently and as part of a team.
  • Be responsible for and facilitate kayak and SUP hire in line with company procedures
  • Be proactive in the continued learning, discovering and utilization of the history and associated stories, and also those of the surrounding area

Essential Criteria?

  • Requires a personable approach and ability to create strong rapport with all visitors. internal & external customers.
  • Administration skills including a high level of computer literacy and basic financial skills
  • The ability to be self-motivated, work independently and have a positive problem solving attitude to your work environment.
  • Enjoy physical activity and be comfortable working outdoors
  • The ability to work a set roster, inclusive of weekend work
  • Requires  current Drivers licence and Working with Children's check
  • First Aid certificate desirable
