Job Description

We are searching for suitable adventure activity instructors to work at our family run adventure centre in the Wye Valley.

We operate in a stunning local area, Grade 2 Rapids on your door step, Cliffs and Caves a short walk away.

We offer Kayaking, Canoeing (River trips as well as local sessions), Stand Up Paddle Boarding and Raft Building to the general public, Schools, Youth Groups such as scouts and guides, and also to corporate companies, all on the River Wye.

We also offer canoe hire both in the local area and river trips where we transport the customers upstream and they paddle back. This is very popular and allows for interaction with lots of different personalities and backgrounds on a daily basis. In High water conditions instructors are required to lead small groups safely back to the riverside centre.

We are always improving the way we can make the job easier and more streamlined for staff, which results in a happier work environment. For the 2021 season we have big changes including a conveyor belt to move canoes around, to reduce the effort needed to lift canoes up the river bank when necessary. We have large custom built storage facilities and drying rooms for equipment.

We provide excellent staff training, rescue training and staff trips. Overseen by our director who is a Level 5 coach with 40+ years of paddling experience from all over the globe.
