The Role: To act as Line Manager for seasonal instructors. Ensure the highest standard of HSSE within all Watersports areas and River front as well as the wider club, by ensuring compliance with Shell HSSE framework. Carry out administration relevant to the Department needs. To prepare all Centre equipment for annual RYA and AALA inspections; to include all relevant staff qualifications are valid and up to date. To ensure risks identification and ensure corrective measures are followed and all paperwork held. Manage the development of seasonal staff training and running of scenario training to include session observation and ensure all correct documentation is completed. Teach on a one to one basis & in groups of both adults and children (8+ years) Ensure that all Watersports Centre users are provided with full safety equipment/information as required and any equipment leaving the Watersports Centre is fully prepared and rigged. Ensure Clubhouse and Watersports Centre user regulations are adhered to. Control and monitor all costs associated with the Watersports Centre and work towards keeping In line with all budgets set. The Candidate: Previous shift and staff supervisory experience within a recognised AALA/RYA Watersports Centre. Minimum 3 years’ experience coaching. Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements. Excellent customer care skills, able to communicate with a wide variety of people and prioritise when under pressure. Enthusiastic, physically fit and able to carry out manual handling of equipment. Flexible to meet the business needs.
