Opportunity

As a Clearance Diver in the Navy, you’ll be trained to reach the peak of your potential. You’ll learn how to carry out a range of complex underwater tasks including demolitions, explosives disposal and the configuration of mine counter-measures. Providing specialist knowledge and advice to the Command Team, you’ll get experience across a range of Navy platforms. In addition to your role as a Clearance Diver, you’ll also receive the opportunity to participate in instructional, operational and support roles.

As part of the Navy’s specialist diving team, you’ll conduct underwater repairs and maintenance, as well as explosive ordnance disposal. As a Clearance Diver, you’ll be expected to maintain a high level of fitness and mental aptitude but the lifestyle and friendships you’ll make are second to none.

Salary: 

Be paid to train and learn the skills required to become a Navy Clearance Diver. Upon completion of your initial military and initial employment training, you’ll enjoy a competitive starting salary package of up to $76,546 including service and uniform allowances. Maritime Allowance is also available.

In addition to your salary, you will receive generous superannuation, housing subsidies and free medical and dental care.
