If so, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with excellent client liaison and communication skills, acquired preferably in the marine industry, to join our team in Wroxham.

The Contract:

Permanent, Full time – 40 hours per week

The Role:

The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the client’s yacht is delivered on schedule, to the agreed specification with the agreed variations, additions and options and in line with quality targets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will be providing the Client with unbiased, professional advice while at all times considering the Company’ s commercial interests.
  • Working with all departments to achieve pre-agreed costings, targets and schedules; ensuring the yard have timely information to build the yachts efficiently.
  • Manage the liaison between client, yard and suppliers and continue to maintain our exceptional reputation within the industry.
  • Agree costings and specifications for standard and optional equipment purchased from suppliers.
  • Assist client with completing paperwork and administration including yacht registration, radio licensing, tonnage surveys and MCA commercial vessel compliance.
  • Ensuring a smooth transition from completion of yacht to Aftersales and Warranty Managers.

The Person

Essential

  • Proven track record of successfully completing complex projects
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of the systems and equipment typical of large, modern cruising yachts
  • Good knowledge of yacht production techniques and processes
  • IT literate, competent user of common office software
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage own time and workload efficiently
  • A pleasant and accommodating manner as this is a Client facing role
  • Good communication skills with clients, employees, contractors and extended team
  • Experience in sailing large, modern cruising yachts.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of marine industry
  • Degree educated, or equivalent.
  • Yacht Master Offshore or Ocean would be an advantage.
