Dinghy Instructor/Project Development Worker

Our Sailing Club, working in partnership with the 1851 Trust and Sport England Families Fund, wish to appoint an experienced Dinghy Instructor or Senior Instructor.

This post will support a major initiative to introduce & develop more young people and families to the sport of sailing through a social inclusion structure. P.Y.S are a dedicated Youth Sailing Club, with a current membership of over 150 young people. We are looking to diversify to support access for families and marginalised groups in line with Sport England’s targets. The club activity is supported by 25 volunteers, many of whom are qualified instructors . We have wide range of dinghies (40) and safety boats (10) to support our daytime, evening and weekend programme.

The club will be supporting major sailing events in 2021. We would expect the SI to be fully involved in these events as well as delivering the clubs programmes

If you are a qualified Senior Instructor or Dinghy Instructor (looking to become a SI ) with at least 2 seasons experience, the drive and enthusiasm to develop the sport and increase access for young people and families, this post is for you!

Post from February to October 2021

Salary: £15,120 for 1080 Hours

Average 30 hours per week
