About us, we are a small center with a BIG operation; peak season is usually 400 – 700 people a day!
We run a combination of land and water-based activities, all on our center, based on the River Thames. Our bread and butter is schools, youth and faith organisations and the general public, we facilitate our visitor's requests with day visits, residential experiences, taster sessions, birthday parties, and NGB courses.
We run all of the activities you would expect at a multi-activity centre, off-ground activities with Climbing, High Ropes, and Giant Swing. Water-based activities with SUP, Kayak, Canoe, Dragon Boat, Bell Boat, Raft Build and Rowing and our land-based activities including, Water Orbs, Laser Tag, Trebuchet, Orienteering, Team Challenge, Nightline and Wide Games.
Who are we looking for?

  • Highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic team members who are willing to share their knowledge with our overseas volunteers and apprentices as well as our visitors
  • Seasoned instructors who thrive in high-paced environments.
  • Creative thinkers, if you are an instructor who wants to develop your skills to progress into a more senior role; this is the centre for you. Our instructors are heavily involved in the daily operation of the centre, if you have ideas that you wish to implement, we will listen.

Essential

  • British Canoeing Paddlesports Leader Award, or equivalent
  • ERCA Traditional High Ropes Instructor, or equivalent
  • Minimum of two seasons experience at a multi-activity centre

Desirable

  • BDA Dragon Boat Helm
  • British Rowing Level 2 Coach

Training package available if you are an instructor who has the experience but not the qualifications, we understand. We will offer you a training package where we will arrange the course, provide accommodation for free and if you complete your season with us will pay back a third of the initial cost! On offer

  • Season runs from 1st April – 30th September [contract extensions available]
  • Single occupancy accommodation available with a reduced rent + NMW / NLW, fantastic CPD and networking opportunities
  • No day is the same, we do not run taster sessions all day, all season
