Job Description

We have an exciting role for a Guest Activities Touring Guide to join our team. Reporting into the Director of Guest Activities & Touring, you will be responsible for the delivery of Indigenous Guest Activities Touring as stipulated in the  Resort Touring program for resort guests. This will include Touring within the confines of UKNP as well as assisting in the Tourist Information Centre. The department may also utilise the Activities Touring Guide in areas such as media related events, future Touring opportunities (once relevant qualifications are obtained) and inclusion in our Daily Guest Activities Program. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for this role.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Welcoming to guests and visitors to the resort from various demographics
  • Provide resort facility and general information to guests and visitors
  • An ambassador to the cultural elements on not only the Department but to Voyages Indigenous Tourism as a whole
  • Familiar with Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park and Watarrka National Park information whilst also being familiar with Voyages Activities, Tours and business partners’ products
  • Multi-skilling and obtaining additional qualifications such as MR licensing, H-Endorsement, First-Aid criteria and assisting in other areas that the Activities & Touring Department oversees on a daily capacity

 

Required Experience, Skills and Attributes  

  • Experience in customer service and/or hospitality related field
  • Strong communication, computer comfortable, literacy skills
  • Has respect for various cultures, the environment and always motivated
  • Enjoys working outdoors (when requested to) especially during varied weather conditions
  • Prior Tour Guiding an advantage and/or science (Eco-related) interest / education a bonus
  • Prior knowledge of buses, touring vehicles
  • Full Drivers Licence (can convert to NT upon arrival)
