Essential:
Must be a people person
A quick learner who is adaptive & who can problem solve under pressure
Must be able to lift canoes on own (full training is given) but some strength required
Lv1/paddlesports instructor/leader
Desirable:
Lv2+ coaching or Canoe leadership qualification
Your own transport since you can be operating in various locations over the session
The ability to tow trailers is a big plus
The core of work is “short team canoe hire” in busy locations with Pre-bookings & turn up & hire customers
Full training is given but for the most part, you will be independent at locations
where you will be the public face of the company so being able to engage and interact positively with the public in a warm friendly helpful manner is required
Depending on qualifications guiding coaching work also available
Our season is short and can be frantic at times, but we reward you for your time and effort with Good rates of pay & bonus & staff uniform plus BC training & staff discount on kit
