Job Description

Administer first aid to injured skiers and transport to a base first aid facility. Training is provided / required.

Essential Duties:

• Patrol assigned mountain areas to ensure that potential skiing hazards are identified and properly marked
• Enforce skiing safety regulations and take appropriate disciplinary action if necessary
• Monitor and report on weather/skiing conditions
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Basic education (high school)
• Excellent skiing/riding skills;
• Outdoor Emergency Care (EMT is highly desirable) and CPR for the Professional Rescuer
• Broad base of technical skills relevant to skiing/riding, lift evacuation (rope work), wilderness navigation, toboggan handling, and splint application
• Ability to deal with customers in a courteous, efficient, confident, and authoritative manner
• Experience with a variety of hand and power tools used for trail maintenance; or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
