Job Summary
Responsible for teaching groups and individuals how to ski/snowboard through demonstration and explanation with on-snow instruction utilizing PSIA techniques, and recognized teaching methods.

· Language Skills:
o Literate and fluent in English.
o Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
o Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
o Additional language(s) desirable.
· Mathematical Skills:
o Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
o Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, area, circumference, and volume to practical situations.
· Reasoning Ability:
o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, mathematical, or diagram form.
o Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
o Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Education and/or Experience:
o Experience working with children between the ages of 4-12 years of age desired.
o Prior ski resort or hospitality experience desirable.
· Certificates, Licenses, and Registration:
o PSIA Level 1,2, 3, and/or 4 Instructor Certificate desired.
o Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) 1A certification desired.
o Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certification desired.
o Winter Emergency Care (WEC) certification desired.
