We are looking for one English speaking stargazing guide to join our team on a permanent/long term basis. 

Star Gazing is an exciting venture operating from Tekapo Springs, combining the two top attractions Tekapo has to offer - hot pools and the amazing southern night sky.

We are seeking expressions of interest for tour Guides who can captivate and entertain guests using state-of-the-art technology to deliver an unforgettable, out of this world experience. You will take guests on a journey of discovery into the magnificent southern night and help them relax afterwards in our hot pools.

Do you have:

• A passion for and experience with Astronomy.
• The natural ability to engage and develop rapport, helping guests discover new and exciting things?
• An NZ Lifeguarding qualification and experience (desired but training can be provided for the right candidate)
• Exceptional people skills and commitment to ensuring a unique and unforgettable guest experience?
• A pride for personal presentation and the confidence to promote other service offerings?
• A high level of fluency in English.
• A current drivers' licence (preferable)

Our unique star gazing tours are capped at 30 guests per tour, and we like to ensure our guests feel like they are the only people in the universe experiencing the amazing night sky. Our guides use a mixture of state-of-the-art telescopes, lasers and high definition audio visuals to enhance the guest experience followed by a relaxing soak in our hot pools as such we do require some experience with Lifeguarding as it is an integral part of our operation.
