Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven activity Center manager to manage our Surf, bike and activity Center, cafe and Hotel, near to fistral beach and at the beautiful Holywell Bay.

We are looking for someone with management experience within outdoor education. A good knowledge of Newquay and Surfing would be desirable.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised and have great customer service skills.

It is essential that you have experience managing teams of people and rotas, as the position will be spread over several sites.

The position is all year round with the potential to live on site.

We are looking for someone to oversee both locations and help organise and grow the business over the next couple of years.

Job role:

• Recruiting, training and supervising a team of staff, including instructors
• planning and organising appropriate outdoor activity programmes
• handling booking enquiries
• ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• instructing groups in specialist areas
• managing budgets
• developing new activities
• liaising with group managers, and teachers
• dealing with queries, complaints, accidents and emergencies
• producing educational materials
• promoting and marketing the business
• maintaining customer service standards
• attending training courses to keep qualifications up to date
• recording and reporting accidents
• buying, maintaining and checking the safety of facilities and equipment
• undertaking financial administration.
• Introducing new concepts, activities and ideas and seeing them through to completion
• Ensuring Social media, marketing and websites are up to date
• Other tasks associated with the job that arise from business growth and expansion

Due to the nature of the job the successful applicant needs a flexible approach to working, is happy working weekends, weekdays and a few evenings.

This position is all year round starting from January 2021

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £24,000.00 per year
