Job Description

Located on Moreton Island, is one of the most respected Island Resorts on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia. Moreton Island is the third largest sand island in the world.

The Tour Driver position predominantly entails providing commentary on Island history while taking guests via Bus along the Island sand tracks to the Desert where we conduct Sand toboganning. There are also other tours that take guests to the North and South points of the Island, again via sand tracks. 

Please note: There are no sealed roads on the Island except for within the Resort property. Applicants should have previous experience driving on sand.

It is also important that applicants have a patient demeanour and clear communication skills as the Resort caters to both the Domestic and International markets.

Working in our Tours department you will be part of a dynamic team who host the 4WD tours through Moreton Island, while entertaining passengers with commentary. The successful candidate will be physically fit, outgoing and professional with excellent people skills. The successful candidate will also enjoy working in a team environment and thrive on dealing with people from all backgrounds. The position will also involve 4WD and electrical buggy rentals, transfers, and detailing.

A current MR or HR license, Qld Drivers Authorisation and Senior First Aid certificate are prerequisites to be considered for this position.

In return for your commitment we are able to offer a live in position in an Island paradise, a great working environment and an opportunity to grow within our organisation. Own transportation is not required as you will be living on resort premises on Moreton Island. Accommodation packages are available to staff living on site at the resort (price to be discussed in interview process)
