GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Treehouse is headquarters for our children’s Ski programs, and our instructors are “fun experts” who focus on keeping children happy and active as they learn new skills in a safe and supportive environment. As a Ski Instructor at the Treehouse, you will assist lead instructors in the morning registration routine by helping children put on their ski gear, showing them to their lockers, and directing the flow of traffic into and out of the building. You also will help children on and off the carpet lift and assist the lead instructors with their groups either in the teaching area or on the slopes, as well as take children inside for bathroom breaks and hand out food and drinks during snack time.

SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

The position requires candidate to be knowledgeable and experienced with the many aspects of the Treehouse operations. Candidates must be able to ski green terrain comfortably, have own equipment, friendly, helpful, and positive. Additionally, candidates must be at least 16 years of age, and be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This is Seasonal Full Time or Part Time positions. Position will begin late November/early December and will end mid-March

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate must be able handle cold weather and be able to lift up to 20 pounds if necessary.

SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Ski green terrain comfortably
• Must follow all written rules required in the Wintergreen Employee Handbook and individual departments.
• Assist with daily registrations.
• Greet each child and parent daily.
• Knowledge of safety issues concerning children
