The Vancouver Outdoors Society (VOS) provides unique experiential education opportunities and programs with a large proportion of the participants coming from a Chinese cultural background. Our aim to inspire young people to learn about and explore B.C.’s beautiful outdoors and wilderness. While additionally becoming aware, skilled and knowledgeable in wilderness conservation and environmental stewardship.

VOS is a modest size company who has been operating and growing its offerings to the Vancouver community for over nine years. A significant number of the participants, and or their families, are new to Canadian culture and the exciting and fun outdoor recreational activities traditionally engaged in by Canadian youth and their families. Part of what VOS provides is an outdoor cross cultural experience that is often the participants’ first exposure to outdoor activities and wilderness and the fun adventure experiences and opportunities therein.
VOS programs include summer day camps, daily after school outdoor programs for preadolescent, long holiday weekend camps/expeditions and additionally school Christmas and Spring break camps and wilderness expeditions for children, teens, adults and families. VOS also has international adventure travel trips abroad.

VOS program activities include Mt biking, sea kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, hiking, alpine back packing, skiing, snowboarding, and stand up paddle boarding. VOS has programming daily within the Vancouver city limits.

We are looking for staff who are multi skills in outdoor land and water activities and can work with youth from 7 years old and up.
