BASI Alpine Level 2 qualified ski instructor. I have 3 years of teaching experience, mostly at an indoor slope in the UK, I have also dine a season in Japan and also a month teaching in Georgia.

Over the years I have been ski instructing, I have learnt and developed my skills to fit the needs of the client. I am very adaptable in many different situations, there has been many an occasion when I have been working at the indoor slope, and even abroad when I have turned up for a lesson and the client has not had the correct equipment, or they have been a different standard to originally thought. In these situation I always keep calm and never show to the client that I may be stressed or panicking. It is always my first priority to make sure that the client feels comfortable and safe. There was also a couple of experiences when working in Japan where the client spoke little to no English (they came into the lesson knowing I was an English speaking instructor) this means that I have to adapt my teaching style which meant that there was more demonstration involved, and less talking, as it would just confuse the client. I also have a lot of experience teaching children, meaning that I am comfortable and would be happy teaching any age.
Skiing, snow sports and the mountains in general are my passion, I am constantly trying to better my skills so that my teaching and my own personal skills are the best they can always be. Being part of your crew, I would expect a comfortable and safe working environment, where I can feel comfortable to speak to management about any problems that may occur. I would also expect to be surrounded by like-minded instructors with high standards, making sure that the best quality instruction is always given, meaning that the client always comes away from a lesson feeling like they are happy and have achieved something. I am also passionate about always making my lessons fun, regardless of the clients age, I believe that the client will learn a lot better and quicker if they are having fun, rather than just being fed information. I always like to incorporate different games and challenges into my lessons, meaning that there is a purpose to the drill or whatever I may be teaching in the lesson.
