MTB Trail Builder/Maintenance

An exciting opportunity to join the MTB team in Rotorua has just opened up! Due to the growth of the MTB park, this is the first time this position has been offered and is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who loves to get their hands dirty. This is solely a trail-building and trail-maintenance role.

Hours will generally be between the times of 7am-3pm on weekdays, meaning you get to work early and finish early. This will give you plenty of time to enjoy what Rotorua and the surrounds have to offer.

The successful applicant will be largely responsible for the trails and will assess what needs to be worked on and when, with some direction from the MTB Operations Supervisor. Most days you will have assistance on the trails from the MTB Patroller on duty that day.

Key responsibilities:

• Trail maintenance
• Building new trails
• Assisting MTB Patrol when required (No Medical Skills needed)

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Intermediate – Advanced mountain bike skills
• Trail building experience – We need you to be able to slap all day and continue to help the park keep its high standard of trails
• New Zealand Driver’s License
• Be able to work as part of a team as well as alone.

Flexibility is a must as the successful candidates may be required to work rostered shifts, weekends and school/public holidays.
