Are you looking for an exciting role working in a World Heritage National Park? Are you a passionate Tour Guide interested in Aboriginal culture, Geology, Flora and Fauna, and do you want to help create memorable visitor experiences?

Our Guided Tours are well established award winning companies providing guided tours and accommodation in Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungle). We are seeking professional and enthusiastic Tour Guides for the 2021 season, who share our passion for the Kimberley. Duties include leading tours through Purnululu National Park, group sizes vary from 2 – 30 guests, off-road vehicle operation, vehicle cleaning and basic maintenance, customer service, and other duties as required around the Lodge such as bar and kitchen.

This role is a seasonal live in position from April through to the end of September, working a 21 days on 7 days off roster. The lodge operates with a team of approximately 13 people working a rotating roster to share around the evening shifts. Meals and accommodation are provided on site, and air transfers are available in and out of the national park from Kununurra.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
  • Confident speaker with excellent communication skills.
  • Have a friendly and professional disposition, and a great team attitude.
  • Have a minimum 1 year wilderness guiding experience.
  • Be committed to outstanding customer service and willing to go above and beyond for our diverse range of guests.
  • Be fit, energetic and able to work in hot rugged conditions and on occasions, long days
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate.
  • Have or be able to obtain an F Extension on a WA Drivers License.
  • Have a minimum MR drivers license. Off-road driving experience advantageous.
  • Be able to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screens.
  • Hold a current RSA or be able to obtain if required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and/ or other maintenance skills desirable.
  • Cultural and scientific (geological and local flora/fauna) knowledge of the Kimberley, ideally Purnululu National Park

We are also seeking Chefs, General Hands (Housekeeping/ F&B) and a Maintenance/ Tourism Allrounder. We encourage local and Aboriginal applications.
