Overview
Available Shifts: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
Wage Information: Hourly plus gratuities, student and private request bonuses

Mountain Bike Guides guide and instruct guests through downhill trails on the Resort property, guides may also guide and instruct guest on cross country trails. Lessons are provided by the guides to guest of all ages, in a safe and friendly manner. Guides will also assist with trail maintenance, equipment maintenance and bike shop sales and rentals.

Responsibilities

  • Guiding requires the use of considerable judgment to adapt methods and procedures to changing situations and environments
  • Must be able to independently lead group mountain bike rides/tours and supervisor safety for self and guests
  • Position requires cash handling, responsible for expensive equipment and confidential information
  • Able to work in potentially extreme weather conditions and manage rocky, rough and uneven trails while exerting considerable physical effort

Qualifications

  • All Mountain Bike Guides are required to receive a 3 day certificate through an outside contractor, set up by the Resort, and attend 3 days of internal training
  • All Mountain Bike Guides must have their own downhill mountain bike and gear, it is preferred that guides have their own cross country bike as well
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous downhill and cross-country mountain biking experience
  • Previous guiding experience, specifically on a bicycle, is highly desired
  • Knowledge and experience in bike maintenance and repair
