Due to another internal opportunity, Outward Bound is looking for a School Director to be based at Anakiwa in the Marlborough Sounds. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the School Director will be responsible for all areas of operational safety, culture, and quality outcomes for our participants.

You  will manage the school and lead and support the management team and staff. You will also ensure the safety and quality of the student experience whilst maintaining a positive staff culture.

Ideally, you will have credibility as an outdoor educator (in programmes similar to Outward Bound),  leadership or management experience and a good understanding of educational theory. The School Director needs to be a clear and inspiring communicator and be someone who can build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and other managers.

NZOIA qualifications, a passion for outdoor experiential education and experience with the Office 365 suite.

You will be provided with heavily subsidised on site accommodation including utilities. Support with relocation costs.
