Looking for a Sailing Centre Manager

Camberley , United Kingdom

Salary not listed

Job Description

Located between Fleet and Camberley on the Surrey/Hampshire border in a beautiful setting, we are a small, busy and friendly club which provides a comprehensive programme of RYA approved water-sports facilities to members and local groups of all ages.

Sailing is the main activity but also kayaking, Paddleboarding, Windsurfing and an active members Wakeboard section.

The Lake has been used for sailing since 1947 and was originally an army facility.  Over the years, HLSTC has developed into an independent Charity, serving both civilian and military members and users.  The club is staffed by a small team of four people but employs many more instructors on a casual basis.  Governance is provided by five Trustees.  The club is the popular sailing home - with regular racing and a thriving youth section, for over 200 memberships making a total in excess of 400 people when family and groups are included.

The full-time position has responsibility for managing all aspects of the Members Club and events, and overseeing delivery of the Water-sports activities and RYA Training programmes alongside our Chief Instructor.

This opportunity might suit a Chief Instructor or Waterfront Manager looking to progress their career or equally someone with excellent and appropriate management skills.   The role requires a pro-active approach and requires some evening and weekend working.
